The actual implementation consisted of installing 10.5 kV (33 kV) power cables between the diesel generators and connecting them to the grid (to compensate for voltage fluctuations in the grid during outages). Installations were carried out in the same way at two other locations in the Slovak Republic.
The reasons for using channels were:
- mechanical properties of cable channels - long service life
- cable channels material used - flame retardant PVC
- strong lid fixation against opening
- easy installation of cable channels and power cables
- compact protection even when the route is rugged thanks to shaped parts
- increased warning function - colour design of cable channel covers.
