Our company
CWS s.r.o. is a purely Czech manufacturing and trading company focused on the development and production primarily of plastic products for the protection of cables and other utility networks. Our largest customers include companies involved in the construction of electrical power distribution systems, optical telecommunication networks, as well as security and signaling systems in transportation.
We have our own product portfolio and use our technology for custom manufacturing. Within the production we are able to provide financing of the necessary tools, organize the supply of input materials, ensure cooperation and assembly of the product, as well as ensure their storage depending on the specific storage conditions of the finished products.
The company’s headquarters are located in Ústí nad Labem, while the production plant is located in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands in Ledeč nad Sázavou, which has a rich industrial tradition and excellent transport accessibility within the motorway network.
CWS is a holder of the ISO 9001:2009 certificate. Among the titles that the company has received within the Czech business sector, the prestigious awards of the Company of the Year of the Ústí Region in 2007 and 2009 and the Czech Business Pike stand out.
In recent years, CWS s.r.o. has invested significant resources not only in production facilities and machine technologies, but also in the promotion and distribution of our products on foreign markets. Every year we participate in important trade fairs in Central and Eastern Europe. I díky těmto a dalším aktivitám na zahraničních trzích každým rokem významně narůstá podíl exportovaných výrobků v celkovém objemu tržeb a to až na 70% v roce 2023.

On 2 June 1993, CWS s.r.o. was established by registration in the Commercial Register. The primary company activity was the sale and service of computer equipment.
CWS has established close cooperation with the Prague office of the German company REHAU. In particular in the sale and distribution of cable storage systems for both internal and external storage.
This year saw the development and subsequent production of the ZEKAN 1 and 2 plastic cable tray. The trough was designed to save labour and transport costs while maintaining the same mechanical properties (compared to the original concrete troughs). The possibility of colour and identification marking also plays an important role.
At the time of the telecommunications boom in the Czech Republic, CWS became one of the leading suppliers of DEKAB plastic cable plates, which replaced the outdated cable protection technology, i.e. brick covering or concrete slabs.
After complex and demanding tests, the Railway Infrastructure Administration issued an "Introduction Certificate" which allows the use and installation of ZEKAN cable trays in the construction of railway networks and corridors. Under the ZL 19/2009 brand, it was extended in 2009 to include other types of ZEKAN cable trays with accessories.
CWS has developed new products for installation in the grid at the request of the energy market.
The development and improvement of the utility properties of ZEKAN cable trays was continued. As a result of this work, the lid was coated with a coloured coextrusion layer, which allows the trough to be differentiated in colour according to the investor's preference and at the same time guarantees short-term UV stability. The cable tray programme has been further expanded with a range of shaped parts.
In January 2010, a production facility (15,000 m2) was purchased in Ledč nad Sázavou, Vysočina Region. Subsequently, on 7. 4. 2010 own production of cable trays and plates started and the product range was expanded to include other types of covering elements.
Using state-of-the-art compression moulding technology, the range of cable protection products has been expanded to include a modular system of high stress cable chambers. These chambers can be used with connecting conduits (PVC pipes, corrugated pipes) to form a re-entry conduit system, which today forms a modern element of the infrastructure network.
The production of PVC pipes was the next logical step in consolidating our position as a leading supplier of a comprehensive range of products for the protection of ground-laid cables.
Expansion of production by 2 production lines for processing PVC and PE materials. Thanks to the purchase of the PE line, the company’s production portfolio could be expanded to include PE products – plates, strips, etc. The installation of another PVC line not only enabled the company to expand its own PVC material production portfolio, but also to focus on custom production for existing and new customers.
We have built modern warehouse areas and expanded our storage capacity to approximately 5,500 m². This step has ensured more efficient storage of our products.
Thanks to the simplicity of installing PE boards and tapes, demand for these products has increased, and the company has therefore expanded its production by adding two additional PE production lines. The company is striving not only to digitalize but also to automate its manufacturing processes—hence one of the new lines is semi-automated, and we are working toward its full automation.
We carried out a complete refurbishment of the production hall, which included thermal insulation, modernisation of the production areas and conversion of the storage hall into a production hall.
The connection of production lines to a manufacturing system developed to order specifically for our production needs includes integration with accounting software. This system enables online monitoring of production processes, including evaluation of quality, cost, and production capacity. In the future, we plan to connect new technologies and integrate the system with BI.
This year, we will expand our product portfolio to include the production of warning foil, which will complement our existing range of protective covers and tapes.
